Potatoes are high in proteins so these are good for health so be conscious of the quantity as potatoes also contain lots of carbonates that can be fattening. Kashmiri Dum Aaloo is a potato dish made in a Kashmiri style that can win your hearts.


Ingredients
  1. Potatoes ½ kg (boiled)
  2. Clarified butter 3 – 4 tbsp
  3. Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  4. Cumin powder ½ tsp (ground)
  5. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  6. Black pepper powder ½ tsp
  7. Turmeric ½ tsp
  8. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  9. Yogurt 125 gm
  10. Salt to taste
  11. All spice powder ½ tsp
  12. Green chilies 2 – 3 (chopped)
  13. Coriander leaves 2 tbsp (chopped)

Cooking Directions
  1. Boil potatoes and prick using toothpick.
  2. Heat clarified butter in a wok.
  3. Add in boiled potatoes and shallow fry till golden brown.
  4. Now remove the potatoes and keep aside.
  5. Add fennel seeds, cumin seeds, coriander powder, black pepper powder, turmeric and ginger garlic paste. Mix well and fry for 1 – 2 minutes.
  6. Now add yogurt, salt and fried potatoes.
  7. Mix well and simmer on low flame for 2 – 3 minutes.
  8. Dish it out, sprinkle with all spice powder, green chilies and coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot.
