Srinagar, Jan 11: Girls have once again outshined boys in the class 10th examination result by bagging first three positions. Out of 150 students figuring in the merit list, 90 are girls.
Sana Fayaz daughter of Fayaz Ahmed of Presentation Convent School Srinagar bagged the first position with 495 marks. Sana Shafiq from Woodland House School Shivpora, Parul Khushu from Presentation Convent School and Nisheet Zehbi from Mallinson Girls School have bagged second position, securing 491 marks each. The third position has gone to Rimhsa Jan of Baramulla Public School. She has secured 490 marks.
The fourth topper is Muhammed Suhaib Alam of New Convent High School while Zehra Naqash of New Convent High school and Tabiya Reyaz of Presentation Convent School have bagged fifth position.
Others in the top 10 list are: Bisma Sheraz (Woodland  School); Barzah Altaf (Mallinson); Maleeha Arif (Mallinson); Suaiba Ali Mufti (Mallinson); Shamikh Rasool Shah


(Tyndale Biscoe); Burhan Ahmed Wani (Tyndale Biscoe); Tazeem Ayub (Presentation Convent); Muhammed Suhaib Mir (Walden HSS Natipora); Mehran Ali Banka (Tyndale Biscoe); Muhammed Zaid Khan (Tyndale Biscoe); Tafheem Firdous (Tyndale Biscoe); Janees Ahmed Lankar (Presentation Convent) and Asma Muzaffar (Srinagar British School).
The overall pass percentage is 65.98 with 33093 of 56358 students qualifying the exams.
872 students have fetched marks in the range of 90 to 99 percent (A-1 grade) while 4197 students have secured marks between 80 to 90 percent (A-2 grade).
The Government-run schools have failed to bag any position in the top ten list.
