Srinagar, Jan 11: In a shocking instance of its kind, students were Tuesday surprised to see the matric result at 3 AM on Facebook even as the BOSE officials maintain they were yet to announce it formally.
“We are yet to announce it,” the Commissioner/Secretary, School Education, Naseema Lankar, who is also the BOSE chairperson. told Greater Kashmir just now.
However, the result was available on the facebook link: jkbose.co.in/resultsearch.php?id=147.
The link was available on the facebook till 11 AM but it “broke” after that.
The result was neither available on the official website of the BOSE, nor on www.indiaresult.com.
While Lankar said they were yet to announce the result formally, the comments indicated that the result has either been leaked or there is some other mischief involved.
“It is unofrunate that BOSE has taken students for a ride and not put the result on its website,” said Bashir Ahmad, who saw the result of her daughter on facebook. “I saw the result at 5 am.”
Sources said police are already investigating the matter.
A senior BOSE official admitted they were yet to declare the result. “We are investigating how some link with result was available on Facebook.
Whether it is lapse from our side or not is a matter of investigation. But we have directed our computing agency to upload the result as soon as possible. May be it will be done by today evening itself. But formally we are yet to announce the result,” said Joint Secretary, BOSE (Secrecy), Noor Muhammad.
He said they were yet to receive result consignment. “So we want that parents should not feel panicky. Let them wait for the result to be uploaded,” Noor said.
